The 1st International Seminar on the Legal Analysis of Russian Aggression
The first meeting of researchers involved in the legal analysis of Russian aggression against Ukraine has concluded. The scientists established an Expert Team and distributed tasks among themselves.



On November 20, 2023, the first international seminar was held at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin as part of the task commissioned by the Minister of Education and Science, "Legal Analysis of Russia's Actions in Ukraine since 2014 in terms of the Crime of Aggression, War Crimes, and Genocide, and the Legal Solutions of Countries Bordering Ukraine Regarding the Status of Ukrainian Citizens."


The seminar inaugurating the project was led by the project manager Dr. Edyta Krzysztofik, along with coordinators Dr. Iryna Kozak-Balaniuk, Dr. Ilona Grądzka, and M.A. Wojciech Pokora. The meeting was also attended by the then Minister of Education and Science, Dr. hab. Przemysław Czarnek, and the Vice-Dean for Education of the Faculty of Law, Canon Law, and Administration of the Catholic University of Lublin, Dr. hab. Michał Domagała.


The scientists participating in the project were introduced. The researchers come from various countries - not only Poland and Ukraine - including Romania, Moldova, Bulgaria, Hungary, Georgia, Macedonia, and Norway. During the meeting, an Expert Team was established to address the legal aspects of Russia's aggression against Ukraine, and tasks were distributed among the project participants.
